The fantastic game drives in the open savanna of the park offer you spectacular views of wild animals such as African lions, large herds hippos, Waterbucks,Elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, Antelopes and Uganda kobs. The park is also home to the rare tree climbing lions which live in the acacia trees of Ishasha sector. The 3 Days safari will also entail a boat cruise at Kazinga channel which connects Lake Edward and George. The banks of Kazinga channel shekter numerous bird species which include Ibises, Yellow billed stork, African kingfisher, African fish eagle, Hamerkop, saddle billed stork, Long tailed cormorants, African jacana and African skimmer among others.

The park also comprise of several crater lakes and these are Lake Katwe popular for salt mining, Lake Munyanyange famous for the greater and lesser flamingos, Lake Nyamunuka which has healing waters for the injured animals and Lake Bunyampaka among others. Queen Elizabeth National Park also entails Kyambura gorge which is the underground forest sheltering the endangered chimpanzees and several colobus monkeys. Chimpanzee trekking in this gorge is among the things you will do on this 3 Days safari. Queen Elizabeth National Park was established in 1952 spreading on 1,978 square kilometers of land. The park was initially called Kazinga National Park combining Lakes Edward and George game reserves. It was later renamed Queen Elizabeth in 1954 commemorating the visit of the Queen of England.The top things to see and do in Queen Elizabeth National park include game viewing, boat cruising, bird watching,community tours, nature walks, and lion tracking experience in kasenyi plains.

Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The tour starts with an early morning pick up from your Kampala/Entebbe Hotel or airport for a transfer to the park. It takes a 5 to 6 hours drive to get there with en route stopovers for photography and a lunch break. You will arrive in the afternoon and if not tired can go for an evening game drive. Meals and overnight at Enganzi Lodge/ Parkview safari Lodge/ Katara Lodge

Day 2

Game drives & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

After an early morning breakfast you will set out for game drives in the Kasenyi sector where you will see a number of wildlife including antelope species, birds, elephants, buffaloes among others. You will later return to your lodge for a rest and a lunch break and in the afternoon go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The river channel has the highest hippo population in the region as well as other wildlife species like nile crocodiles and a variety of birds. In the evening you will have game drives along the Mweya peninsular and then head to your lodge for a rest.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Tracking & Departure

You will have breakfast and be taken for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge where you will meet the chimpanzees. The forested gorge has many other primate species and birds therefore chimpanzee tracking here gives you an opportunity to see other wildlife species. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the endangered chimpanzees to take pictures and enjoy this lifetime experience
