The 7 Days safari entail mountain gorilla trekking, game viewing and chimpanzee trekking experiences to suit our travelers expectations. Go for chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park, the “primates capital of Africa”. You will spend an hour with the endangered chimpanzees who share over 98% of human genes making them our close relatives.

Trip Highlights

Chimp trekking will be done alongside nature walks and community tours in and around Kibale Forest park. The 7 Days adventure also involve visiting Queen Elizabeth National park, Uganda’s second largest and popular park. Queen elizabeth is popular for game viewing in Kasenyi plains and boat cruise at Kazinga channel.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is another popular destination you will visit on this 7 Days safari. Located in south western Uganda, Bwindi is home to the highest population of mountain gorillas in the whole world.

The park is believed to host over 450 mountain gorillas which live together in 21 groups.These are Habinyanja, Kyaguriro, Rushegura, Mubare, Nshongi, Bweza, Christmas, Oruzogo, Kutu, Rwigi, Mishaya, Kuhungye, Katwe and Nkuringo gorilla groups among others. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest takes place in any of the four regions (Buhoma, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Ruhija) which make up the park. Each gorilla permit in Uganda costs $700 for foreign non residents, $600 for foreign residents and UGX 250,000 for East African Citizen.

The Rushaga sector of Bwindi also offers memorial gorilla habituation experience (@ $1500) allowing you to spend 4 hours with the gorillas undergoing training.
Lake Mburo National park will be your last destination on this 7 Days Uganda safari. The park hosts the highest population of zebras in the Pearl of Africa which make it unique from other parks. Game drives in the park will offer you scenic views of other wild animals such as Giraffes, spotted hyenas, Uganda kobs, wild pigs, waterbucks, warthogs and buffalos among others. A safari in Lake Mburo National Park also entails a boat cruise at Lake Mburo.

Day 1

Transfer to Kibale National Park & Nature Walk

Start your 7 days uganda safari with a pick up from your Kampala/Entebbe Hotel for a transfer to Kibale National Park. Have en route stop overs for photography and proceed to your lodge for a lunch break. After a rest go for a nature walk to the Bigodi sanctuary where you will see a number of birds and primates. Meals and overnight at Chimpanzee Guesthouse (Budget) / Turaco Treetops (Mid-range)/ Kyaninga Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2

Chimpanzee tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park
After breakfast at your lodge head to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. After meeting the chimps stay in their presence for an hour and later by mid-day. Have Hot lunch and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the evening you can go for a game drive viewing a number of wildlife in the Park. Meals and Overnight at Irungu Lodge (Budget) / Enganzi Lodge (Mid-range) / Elephant Plains Lodge (Luxury)

Day 3

Game Drive & Boat Cruise

Have an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers especially the predators that hunt at night. You will spot other Major wildlife in the park including elephants, a number antelope species among others. Return to your lodge for a rest and later go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see a number of wildlife including hippos among others. Meals and Overnight at Irungu Lodge (Budget) / Enganzi Lodge (Mid-range) / Elephant Plains Lodge (Luxury)

Day 4

Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

You will have breakfast and be driven to Ishasha sector for a game drive where you will see a number of wildlife. If you are lucky you will spot the tree climbing lions. Have a lunch break and later head to Bwindi impenetrable national park arriving in the evening for meals and overnight at Trackers Tavern (Budget)/ Bakiga Lodge (Mid-range)/ Mahogany Springs (Luxury)

Day 5

Gorilla Trek & Community Visit

On this day head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking and then proceed to the forest. Take a 2 to 4 hours hike or more and once you get to the gorilla stay in their presence for an hour and later return to the park headquarters. In the evening you can go for a community visit where you will discover more about the local Peoples’ culture. Meals and overnight at Trackers Tavern (Budget)/ Bakiga Lodge (Mid-range)/ Mahogany Springs (Luxury)

Day 6

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Game Drive

Leave Bwindi in the morning for a transfer to Lake Mburo national park arriving in time for a lunch break. Relax at your lodge and later go for a game drive seeing a number of wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elands among others. Day 7

Nature walk & Departure

Have breakfast and go for a nature walk to the salt lick where you will see a number of wildlife. Later exit the park for a transfer to Kampala/Entebbe. You will have en route stop over at the Equator and later proceed arriving in the afternoon for a drop off at the airport or Hotel depending on schedule.
