Game drives in Kasenyi plains offer an excellent game viewing experience.  Expect great encounters of wild animals such as Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Uganda kobs, Topis, Uganda kobs, Waterbucks, warthogs, Gazelles and hyenas among others. Kazinga channel in the heart of QENP offers you the best boat cruising experience and great views of wildlife in the park.

You will also visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park home to half of the world’s total gorilla population.

The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park  boasts of more than 450 mountain gorillas which have been habituated into 21 gorilla families (Mubare, Rushegura, Habinyanja, Nkuringo, Mishaya, Bweza, Rwigi, Kyaguliro, Kutu, Busingye, Christmas, Katwe and Oruzogo among others. These gorilla groups are scattered in four regions (Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo) which make up this gorilla park. You will also enjoy a nature walk taking you to the batwa pygmies who initially lived with mountain gorillas in the jungle.

The 10 days safari also takes you to Lake Mburo National park, the smallest savannah park in the Pearl of Africa. Lake Mburo is home to the highest number of zebras in Uganda. You will see a variety of animals such as Uganda kobs, wild pigs, Waterbucks, Hyenas, Elands, Giraffes, Topis, Hyenas and hippos among others. Day 1

Kampala to Kibale National Park

After your breakfast, you will be picked from the hotel by a tour guide to the park. Reach Fort Portal in time for lunch. Have an after lunch tour of fort portal town to the Tooro kingdom. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale primates lodge, Mountain of the moon hotel, Chimps nest Lodge.

Day 2

Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Tour

A cup of coffee and leave for the morning your chimpanzee tracking adventure- also expect to see other primates like the Red, Black, and white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys plus a sight of some birds like the African pitas, Red-faced woodland warbler, Blue-headed Sunbird and many more. In the afternoon, set out for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary to see various bird species, butterflies and primates. Dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Primates lodge, Mountain of the moon hotel, Chimps nest Lodge.

Day 3

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have breakfast in the morning and depart for Queen Elizabeth National park, reaching the park in time for lunch. After lunch set off for an evening game drive around the park for a variety of wildlife species. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge /Kyambura Game lodge (high-end), Hippo Hill Camp / Ihamba Safari Lodge (deluxe), Simba Safari Camp, King Fisher Lodge (budget).

Day 4

Nature walk and Boat cruise

Enjoy breakfast in the morning and visit the Maramagambo forest hoping to see different bird species, chimpanzee, other primates and the python caves. After lunch head for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel expecting to see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, Topis, birds like Corncrake, African skimmer, Marital eagle among others. Overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge /Kyambura Game lodge (high-end), Hippo Hill Camp / Ihamba Safari Lodge (deluxe), Simba Safari Camp, Kingfisher Lodge (budget).

Day 5

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park passing through the known Ishasha Sector, known for hosting the tree-climbing Lions that hang up in the fig trees. Lunch at Ishasha Wilderness Camp; visit the Ishasha River for bushbucks, hippos, crocodile and the green vegetation. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Homesteads or Gorilla Forest camp.

Day 6

Gorilla tracking and Nature walk

After a cup of tea and go the park headquarters to be briefed about the “dos and don’ts” when with the gorillas. After tracking, go back to the lodge for lunch and rest. After lunch, visit the Buhoma community to see the Batwa people, their cultural performances, traditional healers and brewers. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Homesteads or Gorilla Forest camp.

Day 7

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast drive to Lake Mburo National Park through the gorgeous scenery of Kabale. Go for a boat cruise after lunch expecting to see Impalas, zebra, crocodiles, Eland among other savanna species. Dinner and overnight stay at either Mantana Tented Camp, Rwonyo Rest Camp or Mihingo lodge.

Day 8

Game drive and Transfer to Kampala

Take a cup of coffee and leave for the morning game drive to see zebras, Buffaloes, Impalas, Topis, Warthogs and different bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Kampala. Lunch en route in Mbarara and a stopover at the equator for photography. Dinner and overnight stay at either Serena Hotel, Tourist Hotel or Cassia lodge.

Day 9

Transfer to the Source of the Nile

In the morning transfer to the Source of the Nile River for white water rafting. In the afternoon return to Kampala via Mabira for an informative forest walk arriving in the evening for your overnight in Kampala or Entebbe.

Day 10

Drive to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre or Airport

Have breakfast in the morning head to Entebbe Uganda wildlife Education Centre for a variety of wildlife species and birds or transfer to the Airport for your flight back home.
