The 3 Days Uganda gorilla tour will give you chance to trek one of the 21 gorilla families in this jungle.
You will be allowed to spend an hour in the company of the gorillas to learn their behaviours, take pictures and enjoy their company. Gorilla groups in Bwindi Forest are Kutu, Bweza, Busingye, Oruzogo, Kyaguliro, Kahungye, Katwe, Christmas, Mishaya, Rwigi, Mubare, Rushegura, Nshongi, Nkuringo and Habinyanja gorilla family among others. Mishaya and Busingye gorilla families are still undergoing habituation experience in Rushaga sector.
In addition to gorillas, Bwindi Forest is an important birding area sheltering over 350 bird species 14 of which are not found anywhere else in the whole of Uganda while 123 bird species in Bwindi Forest are endemic to the Albertine rift valley. Birders in Bwindi forest are assured of seeing some notable bird species such as African Green Pigeon, Crowned Hornbill, African Harrier Hawk, Giant Kingfisher, Cinnamon Chested bee eater, Black bee eater, Black billed turaco, Ruwenzori apalis, neumann;s warbler and mountain masked apalis among others.The 3 Days adventure also involves visiting the batwa pygmies, the traditional dwellers of Bwindi and Mgahinga forests. The trip starts and ends in Kampala.
